AB  - Africa is one of the largest geographic frontiers for private equity investors: a virgin emerging market. With 613 million people and an average growth rate nearing 4%, it is a continent of colossal economic potential - but also overwhelming risk. Private equity investors see opportunity in the face of such uncertainty in Africa, just as they sought opportunity in the once-uncertain markets of Asia or that “cottage” industry later to become the Internet. Many investors welcome the challenges Africa has to offer, and the returns are there for the taking.
