AB  - Fundraising statistics released by Preqin support the evidence of continued growth of the private equity, as the industry raised the largest amount of capital since the global financial crisis. Fundraising throughout 2013 totaled $431 bn, 13 percent up from 2012 levels. Of the funds currently in the market, more than 45 percent enlisted the services of a placement agent.
