AB  - The venture capital industry in Poland represents one of the most dynamic investment markets in the emerging economies of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). However, in spite of significant growth of the private sector, the most significant source of deals came from privatizing state-owned firms. This article describes the process of investing in a state-owned firm by five venture capital funds operating in the CEE region.
