Katz YR 2005 UL https://pm-research.com/content/8/2/110.abstract AB The not-for-profit world today faces difficult times, compounded by the changing focus and direction of many non-profit organizations. With contributor revenues down, many not-for-profits are suddenly faced with the reality of having to start operating very differently. No longer can they go to a significant donor and easily get a check or obtain other sources of funding. As a result, how non-profits handle their money has been placed under greater scrutiny. And, various constituencies (board members, contributors, members of the community, politicians) now hold management more accountable. This article examines how the not-for-profit sector is changing their thinking, strategies, and operations to better cope with the changing environment and to prepare the foundation for future growth and success.
